Adam Schiff, the U.S Rep. for California’s 28th congressional district and the the current chairman of the House Intelligence Committee’s announced wednesday to begin a sweep investigation into President Trump.
A move the president reacted to by calling Schiff a “Political Hack” one whom the president said “he is trying to build a name for himself.” “And this is presidential harassment.” he added
The Republicans in the House Intelligence Committee ended the investigation into Trump-Russia Collusion in April 2018 after coming to conclusion that there is no evidence of Collusion between the Trump Campaign and Russia.
But Adam Schiff, the new Democratic Chairman of the house, on wednesday made his big announcement of a sweep investigation into Trump, adding that the committee had voted to provide Robert Mueller’s office with transcripts of interviews conducted as part of an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Trey Gowdy, former chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. On wednesday reacted to Schiffs decision. Saying
“I just wish Adam would be. intimidated by the facts, the two years that I worked with him on the Russian probe, Adam was wrong about Collusion.” He continued “I remember he said he had evidence that was more than circumstantial but not quite direct that the president colluded with Russia.” Adding that he was wrong about Donald Trump Jr. Whom he called before and after the meeting in Trump Tower.
He also said Adam has leaked incorrect information to media outlets, he wished Adam was serious about Oversight and the ton of work he has on ground, concluding that Adam is more “interested in undoing the 2016 election results.”
Adam Schiff has always been a well-known anti-trump supporter since his claims in 2017 if having more than circumstantial evidence of Collusion, One which he has failed to provide. He than shifted his focus towards that infamous Trump Tower meeting of 2016.
A meeting hosted by Donald Trump Jr. and attended by Trump campaign officials and group of Russians who were suppose to provide dirt on Hillary Clinton. Still there is no evidence that anything of substance was shared in the meeting, as most Trump associates had been indicted by Robert Muller and so far none has been charged with conspiring with the Russians.
