The Office of the Inspector General just released the report on its investigation into former FBI Director James Comey’s disclosure of sensitive information. Comey was blasted for failure to safeguard sensitive information and violation of  FBI policies.

The IG report faults James Comey for violating FBI policies over its handling of sensitive investigative materials and his memos from meetings with President Donald Trump.
The IG also blasted Comey for setting “a dangerous example” by not safeguarding sensitive information.

“By not safeguarding sensitive information obtained during the course of his FBI employment, and by using it to create public pressure for official action, Comey set a dangerous example for the over 35,000 current FBI employees—and the many thousands more former FBI employees—who similarly have access to or knowledge of non-public information,” the report read.
