On Friday, the House Judiciary Committee voted to impeach President Donald Trump on two articles of impeachment: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The vote which had been reported to be historic after lasting for few minutes following a speedy 14 hour discussion about amendments to the articles have faced countless criticisms ever since.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, President Trump himself blasted the impeachment process, calling it a “witch hunt,” a “sham,” and a “hoax.”
“To be using this for a perfect phone call,” he said, referring to the July 25th phone call with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that was partly the basis for the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry, is a “scam,” he said.
Trump also predicted an eventual backfire on Democrats, saying
“Someday there will be a Democrat president and a Republican House, and I suspect they’re going to, they’ll remember it.” Adding that
“The people are disgusted,” and “No one has ever seen anything like this.
After the “Rigged” voting process, Rep. Mike Johnson of Louisiana who identified himself as an attorney spoke to the media in rage, as he points out the loopholes in the purely partisan and absurd impeachment article.
Rep. Johnson destroyed the narrative of Obstruction and unveiling the process of party ambush against the President.
